Practical AI workshop for an M&A advisory firm

A half-day, hands-on workshop for the deal team, built around a live workflow, with adoption and productivity objectives set against the firm's own baseline.

Programme

  1. 1

    Foundations, security and reliability.

  2. 2

Hands-on M&A workflow: one continuous sector case from research and screening to draft IM and pitch content in the client's own formats.

  3. 3

Skills, tools, integrations and reusable team workflows.

  4. 4

Managed "virtual employee" demonstration with controls, approval gates and an implementation roadmap.

Objectives and target outcomes

80%+ weekly active use

Adoption: from ad hoc individual use to the whole deal team working on agreed workflows, within three months.

40–60% time saving

Productivity: on first-pass work such as research synthesis, screening, draft IM sections and pitch content.

100% cited and verified

Quality and control: every AI-assisted output checked against sources before it leaves the team, under one written standard for approved tools and data.

Baseline → post-programme

Capability: proficiency measured before and after; the largest uplift is usually among less-experienced staff.

Indicative targets agreed with each client and measured against a pre-programme baseline.

Why targets this high are realistic

Recent field evidence points the same way. In a six-month experiment across 66 firms and 7,137 knowledge workers, staff given an AI assistant spent two fewer hours a week on email alone. Across three randomised trials with 4,867 developers, AI users completed 26% more tasks, with the largest gains among less-experienced staff. And in 2026 worker surveys, adoption tracked closely with whether firms actively encouraged and organised AI use; a ten-point rise in worker adoption is associated with 2.9 points of additional productivity growth. Among finance and strategy functions using AI, 53% report cost decreases. The gains land where use is organised and trained.
